Navigating the holidays WELL: Here are a few suggestions:

1. Keep a regimen/routine of movement. This can be anything from going for a morning walk, to doing some yoga, or, seeing us for a workout catered to you and a plan for “homework” outside of your sessions to keep you on track with your goals! Bonus points for outside activities to get the fresh air and daylight as it wanes in this season.

2. Think about balancing your nutrition, and try not to label foods as “good” or “bad.” They’re all just choices. Consider serving sizes when indulging at holiday parties, big dinners, and in dessert. Enjoying what a single serving size is can go a long way.

3. Think of, discuss, and/or write down something you’re grateful for each day. Tether your mind to the positives and you’ll be more likely to find more of them!

4. Think of good, healthy ways to take good care of yourself. For you, it might mean taking the time to snuggle up in a blanket with a book you’ve been meaning to get to, or, making sure you plan a social occasion you really can look forward to. Do some internal research and do good things for yourself – you deserve it, too!
