I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the things we really want. Putting aside all the faces we have to put on at work or at home daily to keep life manageable and together, really looking inward and asking ourselves what we want and listening can be a truly powerful thing.
When our thoughts line up with what we want and focus on them, our actions automatically follow. When we can define and remember what we want most, we can more easily make decisions aligned with those things and not get distracted by day to day challenges and happenings.
So, what is it that you truly want? Have you really asked yourself that lately? It’s easy to get caught up in what everyone else wants from us. What do we really want?
Write it down. Write it out. I keep a journal and I highly recommend doing so to everyone. Having a safe haven and outlet for our deepest thoughts and feelings, or even just a place to organize them (writing has a unique meditative effect) can help us to express them to those around us who would more than likely love to know what they can do for us, too.
I encourage you to take a few moments to do this today!
