If you’ve ever had a hard time saying “no” to that less-than-optimally nutritionally sound food (pasta, cookies, and other savory and/or baked goods), you might be pleasantly surprised to learn of the equally tasty but definitely healthier options available to us today.

 

“Healthy” eating doesn’t mean that you must only eat naked grilled chicken breast and steamed broccoli for every meal. So, you don’t have to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

 

Instead of processed, refined foods .. try these substitutions!

Greatist shared a great article as well: “67 Healthy Recipe Substitutions” – among some were black beans for flour, corn tortillas for flour tortillas, nuts for croutons on salads (crunch!), greek yogurt for mayo, and sauteeing chicken in broth versus oil.
