Of course, we all want to look good in our swimsuit, but even more important is how that makes us feel.
To not have to think about what our body looks like in whatever clothing we’re putting on it is a gift like none other.
I began my fitness journey by wanting to feel comfortable and confident in my own skin, and what I found was that no amount of exercise I did would satisfy that insatiable beast. I had to change my mindset.
Let’s look at the healthfulness of our bodies from exercising them well as well as treating them kindly to recover from work. Let’s take pride in what we can do with our bodies at any age and focus how it felt to move throughout our daily life. Let’s value these things more than just what we look like.
It’s one thing to have a gorgeous physique, but is it worth it if everything hurts all the time? Or if you’re restricting yourself?
Not to mention, is the amount of effort you are putting forth in your exercise sustainable over the course of your lifetime?
